Have you ever seen Japan’s world-famous Scramble Crossing this quiet before? No, us neither! That’s because this isn’t actually the real place but rather, an incredibly detailed and ‘to-scale’ replica of the actual location.

Watch Our Video Here:

Overview

This is Ashikaga Scramble City Studio and is a film-set that offers creators the opportunity to film in a highly sought after, famous Tokyo setting which is usually completely off-limits.

The scramble crossing has appeared in many Anime and even games but for movies, permission is never given to close down public roads for filming. With one of Japan’s most iconic locations being virtually unobtainable as a usable movie set, it’s easy to see the need for a studio like this.

The possibilities that this studio unlocks for filmmakers wanting to shoot in Tokyo could be potentially limitless, so it’ll definitely be interesting to see how it gets utilized in the future.
